Q: Is there an application fee to apply to Indiana Wesleyan University?

No. There is no application fee in order to apply to IWU.

Q: Is there an application deadline for applying to Indiana Wesleyan University?

No. There is no application deadline to apply to IWU. We do recommend that you apply as soon as you know you're interested in order to be best served by our admissions staff throughout your college search process.

Q: Does the application require an essay or resume?

No, an essay and resume are not needed for application to IWU.

Q: Can I apply to IWU prior to taking the SAT/ACT?

Yes. Students may apply as early as June prior to their senior year of high school. Incomplete applications will remain open until all necessary supplemental items are submitted. Once all items are received, the complete application will be submitted for review.

Q: How long does it take to receive a decision regarding admission to IWU?

Once an application is completed, it will be submitted for review. There is a two week period in which a decision is made and formal communication is sent to the student via mail. A student will be verbally informed of the decision within that two week period.

Q: What are the minimum academic requirements for general admission to IWU?

To be considered for general admission to IWU, the following requirements are considered: GPA of a 2.6 on a 4.0 scale, 880 SAT (Verbal and Math), and 18 ACT Composite Score.

Q: What if I do not meet one of the minimum academic requirements for general admission to IWU?

Each application is considered on an individual basis. Should a student's academic performance fall below one or more of the above listed requirements an admissions counselor will request additional information regarding the student's academic history.

Q: What is the latest I can apply to IWU?

Applications will no longer be considered for the fall semester once New Student Orientation has begun for that term.

Q: As a homeschooled student, what supplemental forms are needed to apply to IWU?

An official high school transcript must be submitted with a calculated 4.0 GPA. Additionally, official test scores must be submitted by CollegeBoard or ACT.

Q: As an international student, what supplemental forms are needed to apply to IWU?

An official high school transcript in English must be submitted to IWU. Additionally, the SAT/ACT must be submitted by CollegeBoard or ACT. If English is not a student's primary language, the student must provide one of the following: TOEFL (score of 79 internet-based, 550 paper-based), IELTS (score of 6.5), or ELS Language Center (score of 112).
